CoworkSpot was designed to solve two needs: discovering spaces filtered by technical metrics (Wi-Fi speed, outlet access, noise levels) and meeting fellow developers working in the same room.
To eliminate fake reviews, every approved coworking space receives a physical QR code placed on-site. Users can only submit ratings after scanning that code at the venue, ensuring reviews come from verified physical visits.

The proximity feature notifies users when relevant professionals are at the same venue without revealing identities prematurely. Consent is unidirectional: saying yes only exposes your own profile (such as LinkedIn), never the other party's information unless they also provide explicit mutual consent.
